unpopular opinion maybe but I sort of get why benji was frustrated and why he went off the rails a bit and I think if we’d seen more of his POV more people would empathize. I’m not saying he was in the right or whatever cause he definitely fucked up, I just think they all fucked up, it wasn’t just on him. the kid is a sixteen year old addict with obvious coping and self worth issues navigating his first love, I think he probably feels a lot of pressure to be this perfect supportive fairytale boyfriend to almost retrospectively justify victor deciding to come out at least in part so that they could be together and it just got on top of him a bit. look victor ran to benji’s door people, come on. at the end of the day, they’re in love and you don’t give up on your first love for a guy you kinda know who’s new and exciting.
