If you are running a Google Ads account for your Ecommerce store, it’s rare to see real results on the first day you start your Google Ads campaigns. You can expect your progress to be linear, but it will eventually go up over time if you apply the right strategies and make the right marketing decisions.
But to do this, you need to work with the data you have. Focus on what’s truly generating sales for your store and improve (or get rid of) areas that are not performing well. Using your Google AdWords data, identify the aspects that are making you money and profit in the account. A big part of doing this is learning how to analyze Google Ads data from different campaigns to improve other campaigns.
I personally go for Keyword Mining! It's a very powerful strategy in finding keywords in your campaigns to build out new ad groups and strategies, and the best tool to do this is the AdWords Search Terms Report.
You can use the Google AdWords search terms report to find new high-performing search terms and build out a solid keyword list. You can also use the Google Ads keyword report to look for search terms which are not relevant to your business and use these terms as negative keywords to avoid spending precious PPC budget when your ads are shown to people who aren't interested in your products.
The Search Term Report in Google Ads is indeed a powerful tool when managing keywords that can positively impact the performance of your Google Search and Shopping campaigns. Furthermore, analyzing data from this report will also contribute in improving your Google Ads campaign optimization.
