The words to learn are:
n. population - all the people who live in a particular country, city or area.
e.g. The population of Scotland is just over 5 million people.
v. inhabit - to live in some place. (about people or animals)
e.g. People began to inhabit the area thousands of years ago.
n. inhabitant - a person or animal that lives in a particular place.
e.g. Inhabitants of Australia enjoy outdoor activities.
adj. inhabited - e.g. China is a densely inhabited country. (many people live close together there)
cosmopolitan - containing people from a lot of different parts of the world.
e.g. London, New York and Toronto are very cosmopolitan cities.
diverse - including a big amount of different types of people or things.
e.g. London in the 21st century is certainly a diverse city.
crowded - if a place is crowded, it's full of people.
e.g. Some streets of Bangladesh are really crowded.
v. immigrate - to move to a different country for living there.
n. immigrant - a person who immigrated to a different country to live there.
e.g. There are many immigrants in the USA.
