Christine is a 1958 French film, based on the play Liebelei by Arthur Schnitzler. Directed by Pierre Gaspard-Huit and the title character was played by Romy Schneider. The cast included Alain Delon as a young lieutenant.

Interesting to know that Christine was filmed in 1933 by Max Ophüls and the role Liebelei, was played by Romy Schneider's mother, Magda Schneider.
