Edith Elliott talks about how healthcare doesn’t have to be delivered by highly trained professionals alone and aims to harness empathy to provide higher quality care.

She wants to inspire people to take a step back and realize there are sometimes very simple solutions to some of our largest problems.

Edith is tapping into an underutilised resource -- families of patients -- and equipping them to play a pivotal role in the healthcare system. By providing skills, awareness and tools to family members who accompany patients in hospitals, Edith is reducing their dependence on medical professionals like doctors and nurses, curbing the rates of re-hospitalisation and ensuring a smooth transition to and proper care at home.
