North Carolina Swamp Artillery!

Join me for day two of my recent North Carolina swamp metal detecting adventure. On this day we kayak into a remote section of swamp in hopes of finding a whole artillery shell. And we did! Well, at least Glen did...lol. He uncovered a buried treasure, a 30 pounder Parrott shell from the battle that raged here over 155 years ago. Matt and I didn't fare so well, in fact, the skunk was nipping at my heels until the very end of the day.
