ETORO COPY TRADING UPDATE

In this copy trading update, I start by going over a concern a couple opf viewers had with the trader I reviewed in my last review video. It was pointed out that some of his previous trades may count as 'Scalp trading' and therefore cause problems for him on eToro. These tyoes of trades are opened and closed over extremely short durations, and eToro has previously stated that it views them as a form of market manipulation which isn't allowed on the site.

recently, you may remember that I made some videos about a trader called Harshsmith who was actually the best performing trader that I was copying at the time. HE had performed some of these ultra-short duration 'scalping' trades and after receiving a warning and then doing it again, was blocked from having new copiers and banned from the eToro Popular Investors program. It was quite a blow, as he was already at the elite popular investor level (the highest level), so he lost all the work he'd built up on the site.

eToro may be aware of the problem pointed out, and their systems have most likely alerted them to these short term trades. It's possible (although I have no idea...) that the trader has already been spoken to and agreed not to do it again. I don't know - we'll have to wait and see.

I also talk about reducing my exposure to the GDXJ ETF (junior gold miners ETF) in my portfolio and show how to close only part of a trade whilst leaving the rest open. Useful thing to know....

My portfolio has been doing well. My gold and silver trades are up and the stop losses are all raised high enough that the stop losses are now well into the profit territory - that's a very reassuring feeling :)

I go through the traders I'm copying, and see how they've been doing and finally withdraw some of the funds from my copy of Lombard Earnings and use it to copy one of the traders I reviewed last week - 'BalticSeal.' I hope it goes well :)
