May 18 - Transformational

As we conclude our examination of the 5 marks of an orthodox Christian faith we look at "transformational". Christianity is not merely intellectual assent to a set of traditions or recognizing the values of scripture as beneficial for life. The bible teaches that trusting in the gospel and work of Jesus results in profound and radical change of being. A Christian is miraculously born again into a "new creation" that begins a process of transformation into new identity in Jesus, a renewed mind, victory over sin, new affections and new purpose.
