SUPERCHARGED BMW E39 M5 Oil Change: More Metal Flakes FOUND!

Well this has definitely put a dampener on proceedings. This is the first oil change we have done on the E39 since doing the bearings. It had been idling around at the panel shop for the last month or so and did the first drive last week. Before really really opening it up under load to do some logs we wanted to check the condition of the oil inside and unfortunately its just like before the rod bearings were done. So we dont think its the rod bearings, they old ones looked great, the clearances were fine and these are now new standard size race bearings.

So what on earth is this from and can we find it before it blows the engine up?
