Amtrak California Zephyr Full Eastbound Route to Chicago COVID Travel 2020

 We took the California Zephyr full eastbound route in a Roomette sleeper compartment. This video focuses on the scenery of the route, and also shows the various areas of the train plus all meals served aboard.

COVID modified services and social distancing procedures in place:

Traditional dining service was discontinued.
There was no wait staff or kitchen staff aboard.
Attendants served frozen/ reheated meals from a limited selection.
Dining car was kept half empty- with no shared tables with other passengers outside your group
Meals can also be picked up or delivered to your cabin
Face masks must be worn at all times except in your cabin, or while eating in the dining car. (I removed my mask for some quick photos)
No cash transactions

These new Covid procedures and reduced staff didn't affect our enjoyment of the trip. The train was much less crowded than usual, with lots of empty seats to maintain social distancing.
