The final word: if you are professional photographer who makes a living shooting portraiture then the Tamron 85 mm F/1.8 is certainly a worthy addition to your arsenal of lenses, it's a nice combination of build quality, optical quality, and value. It Comes complete with a really fast focus motor that's also very accurate, and the focus accuracy has proven to be reliable even in the worst of lighting conditions, sometimes it'll hunt a little bit, but I'm talking when the light is really low.
