Chesnokov - Let My Prayer Arise Op. 24-6
The Choir of the Moscow church " All the Afflicted " (dir.Nikolay Matveev) performs Chesnokov's "Let My Prayer Arise." As usual, we have massive notes from the oktavists down to Ab1, but the real beauty of this piece is the earth-shaking low Cs. I have confirmed that Zlatopolsky is in the oktavist section on this 1968 recording.
