Sunset Synthesizer — Vector Synthesis, MES Mini Engines & Semi-Modular UI Progress

A progress update on Sunset, the new vector synthesizer I’m building for Make Electronic Sound.

In this video I walk through the current state of the plugin UI and sound engine work, including the four-corner vector blend between MES Mini-series synth engines:

• Mini Red
• Mini 7
• Mini 11
• Mini PWM

The current build includes patch selection for each engine, a central vector joystick, semi-modular patch cables, envelope sections, pitch and mod wheels, hardware-style LEDs, an oscilloscope, retro display elements, and the evolving Sunset hardware-inspired interface.

This is still work in progress, but the direction is starting to come together: a colourful, semi-modular vector synth built around the sound of the MES Mini series.
