Congratulations to Johnny Depp and his team for successfully proving defamation. `I did not come into this trial with any sort of bias or affinity for Johnny Depp or Amber Heard. I'm completely indifferent to the 2 actors involved I was merely followed this trial as a spectator.
It's obvious that this trial has sparked a discussions and conversations happening all over social media. The double standards, the role that the media plays in shaping the status quo that people adopt about domestic abuse between a man and a woman. Men abuse women, and women abuse men. Either person in the relationship that tolerates the type of behavior of an Amber Heard has willingly allowed themself to be a victim of abuse. I do see this as victory for people who are actual victims of domestic abuse, this should serve enlightenment to any who had a pre-concieved notion of what the truth was simply due to adopting the media narrative.
