Modern Table - Millennium Stage (October 22, 2016)

Contemporary dance company Modern Table performs its signature work Darkness PoomBa, inspired by the Korean tradition of outspoken itinerant entertainers known as poomba, reimagined as a modern dance blending vocals, physical comedy, rock music, and soulful, melancholy song reminiscent of the blues tradition. Performed as part of the First Annual Korean Culture Week, presented by the Korean Cultural Center, Washington, D.C.
