Meteorologist Texts Wife While Live Reporting on Tornadoes
A meteorologist reporting on a tornado was worried about what was going on at home. James Spann of ABC 33/40 was warning his viewers of tornadoes ripping through neighborhoods in Alabama, when he realized his house might be in the path. So he texted his wife to warn her. He kept viewers updated throughout the live coverage, which went on for hours. He even stepped away from the broadcast for a while and returned with another update from home.
