2016 Volvo XC90 D5 (225hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (60FPS)

Today I can present to You the full Drive & Sound test with the all new 2015 / 2016 Volvo XC90 as the range-topping D5 Diesel delivering 225 hp and 470 Nm of torque. My thanks go to Mattusch Automobile in Kaiserstlautern (www.autohaus-mattusch.de) who ordered a large variety of new XC90 and made this test drive possible, great stuff! With this new XC90 Volvo really is back in high-class premium market and as previously said isn't only fighting the new X5 and Q7 with this but also going on pair with a Range Rover Vogue or a Porsche Cayenne on interior design and quality. You can instantly feel that the new D5 mated with the 8-speed transmission is a great power-train. Faster than a X5 25d (car magazines tested that) , more fuel efficient and very very quiet also at higher Autobahn speeds. If I heard correctly there is a Polestar Upgrade coming soon to 250 hp and 500 Nm for those wo want the extra punch on the Autobahn:) This particular car comes in the "inscription" trim which offers pretty much everything you could imagine. In addition to the 21 inch wheels there is the Bowers & Wilkins sound system which has 1.400 watts and is the best sound-system I have heard so far, especially compared to the recently tested Bang & Olufsen.
