In this video you will learn to use the very special and useful Randall J. Hodges V1 mountain filter from Singh-Ray.
The filter is used for rolling hills, and V-shaped valleys and mountainsides that are not too steep.
The filter helps you balance the light between the dark foreground and the brighter sky and mountains. The filter in this video is a 3-stop V1 filter.

The video is recorded in Romsdalen valley, Norway, March, 2022.
In the video I am using a Gitzo mountaineer tripod with a BH55 ballhead from Really Right Stuff. I am using a Canon EOS 5Ds R camera housing, with a Carl Zeiss 18mm wide-angle lens lens. To avoid camera shake when I press the shutter release button, I am using a cable release from Canon.
