Moambessa vs Sir Coxsone 1978 Action Town Hall

Respeks Fadda Ruffhouse.

The late great Ranking Dread and Festus at the Coxsone control tower!
Moa Ambassa were a 70's/early 80's sound from Battersea in south west London. They first played out in January 1977. The crew comprised of the operator Berris Bassa, Man Fe Bill (Clive Allick) and Gary who had all previously worked on Battersea's Lord David sound. In 1979 they had a Sunday night residency at Club Noreik in Tottenham and a Wednesday night one at The Four aces Club in Dalston. In 1981 they had a Sunday night residency at Club Studio 200 in Balham.

This was one of their first big dances taking on mighty Coxson, who was indistructable at that time. The quality is so so as was just a young teenager at the time and did not have access to high quality recording devices available.
