'Lawless' Strait as Iran & US use it as neutral zone for attacks: maritime expert | ABC NEWS

Maritime history professor Sal Mercoliagno says the ceasefire between Iran and US was more about pausing the on-shore bombing campaign and he suspects both sides view the Strait of Hormuz as a neutral zone, which is why there are still attacks on vessels. 
He also says the fear of underwater mines in the Strait is enough to significantly impact shipping, whether or not there are actual mines there.
