This was recorded at the end of February 2020 (before...you know), on a very nice day in Queens, NYC. A mostly chill ride with a few highlights. Check out the timestamps below if you'd like, or just let them happen organically.

03:22 - Above ground subway line, and some quick street riding.
06:28 - Talking about the elevated road I'm going to for a speed run.
09:02 - Downhill run, pushing speed a bit.
13:04 - Tire kicks a stick into camera.
15:22 - Second time pushing speed.
16:00 - Sad line of roadkill.
16:56 - Plink.
18:51 - Nope.
21:02 - Pre-COVID sidewalk.
22:29 - I thought the cat was going to jump at me, which is why I swerved to the right.

Board setup: Onewheel+ XR with a Flight Fins Whisper 6 Hoosier Slick, orange bumpers and Future Motion fender, Surestance Pro Fusion back footpad, black Rail Guards, black Float Plates from The Float Life. Float Life grip tape.

Camera setup: GoPro Hero 8 Black mounted on a Noir Matter Quark stabilizer. Rycote Micro Windjammers on the mic ports of the GoPro.

Opening script:
On this ride, I almost hit a cat, cruise under the subway, and push my speed over 21mph.

Hello everyone, welcome back to another ride. If you're new here, please subscribe. It gives my life meaning and motivates me to keep going. Otherwise I'd probably just build a house out of Onewheel boxes and spend my life as a hermit.

I tend to start rides off fairly slowly, doing some S curves and adjusting my feet. I realized the main reason for this is that I find myself riding either the XR or the Pint for several days in a row, and get used to it to the point that switching to the other board feels a bit alien and kind of uncomfortable. It takes a couple of blocks usually before my feet really remember the layout and response of the board. After that, it's all fine. Well, except for the V1…I never get used to that thing. Quite frankly I hate it now.

Anyway, I'll keep the commentary to a minimum here, and let the ride sort of just play out. I'll leave some time stamps of highlights in the description, or a pinned comment if you'd like to just click around a bit.

I'll comment later on the higher speed riding and the stretch of road underneath the subway. Those were fun, and there are some details I'd like to touch upon.
No music in this one either, just the sounds of the street.

As you watch, I'd appreciate any feedback you may have on my riding. Areas I've clearly messed up, things I can do to improve, and/or anything you liked that you'd like to see more of. The comments are helpful, and do actually affect what I incorporate into future videos.

I hope you enjoy.
