I’ve been a victim of credit card fraud too many times to count. These tips helped me stop fraud on my accounts.

1️⃣ Set up account notifications (text/email). You’ll get an alert as soon as a charge is made on your account. You can contact your credit card company before it ever posts.

2️⃣ Check your account using the mobile app or web once a week. You can identify any unusual charges and report them as fraud before your statement closes.

3️⃣ Don’t allow websites to remember your credit card number. If their website gets hacked your card number could be exposed. You’ll defiantly want to use tips one and two to catch those charges.

Remember on most if not all US credit cards fraud is not your responsibility. If you alert the company they will not hold you responsible for the charges.
