“Sprinting” the PARE Test

I never recommend “sprinting” the PARE, no matter what fitness level you are. It’s a recipe for disaster. Note the quick decline in speed from the first lap to the final lap, and note how gassed I am at the machine. That’s never a good sign.

You need gas in the tank to tackle the machine effectively. If you don’t, you will suffer more than necessary.

Remember, the machine represents a fight. Can you imagine going into a fight feeling gassed? That’s never a good thing, especially when it’s a life and death situation.

What does pacing look like? Here's a perfect example: https://youtu.be/i2xhq50BZVs
