Cutting red onion at 1/4” thick to get the most out of it

Cutting onions to 1/4" thick improves yield. When slicing be sure to use a sharp knife. If the cuts start getting lopsided, slightly rotate the onion and adjust your cutting. Be sure to peel the skin off the onion slices, place in a 1/6 container, and label properly.
