4.5 Hours Westfield NJ Town Council Meeting in 9 Minutes
Last week's Westfield NJ Town Council meeting was a big one, literally. When I left my house for Tuesday's 8:00 pm Town Council meeting, I warned my wife that I may be home as late as 10:30. Boy, was I wrong. The meeting went into early Wednesday morning.
The One Westfield Place presentations by the developer and Town's financial experts took a long time and some were getting restless. Councilman Parmelee reminded the attendees that transparency can take a while when issues are complex. When the experts were finished, public comments were made.
In this issue, I'm not diving into the financial issues or changes to the project plan. That was covered last week. Instead, I discuss real estate (the top 3, 4, and 5+ bedroom homes sold in 2022) and the future of retail.

Who am I?
I am a real estate agent with decades of experience in multiple fields. I started my career after law school and grad school in Washington DC. I worked at EPA and then on Capitol Hill as a special counsel for a congressional committee. (Once upon a time, Capitol Hill was filled with young professionals who were smart, thoughtful, kind, and committed to public service.) I then joined a law firm in Florida and eventually built my own environmental law practice. In 2000, my family moved to New Jersey and I became a commercial real estate broker. In 2016, I transitioned into residential real estate and in November 2021 joined CØMPASS.
