Storyline:

Leo's father and his sister are children growing up. One day they encounter Simba and Nala and end up becoming fast friends, Leo's father was accepted into the family and he became co-king with Simba and Nala.

Years later they have children. Leo is growing up along side Simba's son Kiara and they are best friends. One day in their adventures they go to the out lands where they meet a new face Kovu. Kovu mistakenly attempts to attack Kiara, and Leo jumps in the middle. Leo is knocked back and Kiara is angry and attacks Kovu in his defense.

He respects her for her strength and laughs when getting up. After that he begins spending more and more time with her - Leo begins to go to the side. This leaves Kovu and him to bond considerably. One day, when they were all grown up Kiara and Kovu break up a fight before Zera kills Simba. Meanwhile, Kimba had heard from far away and came just in time to break up the fight before Zera strikes.

Unfortunately, in the process he pounces on Zera, simultaneously knocking his own son down. When he and his son dies, Simba and Kovu are at a loss. Simba looks back on his experiences with his friend as does Kovu.
