The SiteMinder e-commerce platform is used by more than 35,000 hotels around the globe for a variety of applications, and it processes $35 billion worth of reservations every year. When the company’s growth outpaced the capabilities of its previous technology infrastructure, SiteMinder turned to Snowflake, a platform it knew could scale with the company as it grew. Among Snowflake’s benefits, says Karthik Palanivel, Head of Enterprise Data & Analytics at SiteMinder, is that it enables SiteMinder to ingest and integrate new data sources it never had before, which the company can use for forecasting, predictive analytics, and prospect scoring.”We never had this ability to process that much data and put it into a customer view,” he says.
