1967 Ford GT40 Mk IV Hot Wheels – Rivet Drill & 60g Weight Mod

In this build I break down a 1967 Ford GT40 Mark IV and convert it from factory rivets to a screw-down setup for easier future modifications.

This time I didn’t swap the wheels — instead, I focused on performance.

I:
• Drilled out the factory rivets
• Modified one of the posts to accept tapped screws
• Added internal weight
• Tuned the car to come in at approximately 60 grams
• Reassembled everything clean and secure

The goal? More stability, better momentum, and stronger track performance.

This GT40 is now heavier, planted, and ready for speed.
