DIY spring farmhouse vintage style plant pot with chicken wire cloche.

I came across a picture on Instagram of planter that looked like it had been outside it was painted in a faux shabby rustic distressed finish. And on top there was a chicken wire cloche ........I loved it.
yea but here's the sting it was £84.00 yep.

Stunned....So I'm making my own with a twist.
So what did I do ?
I started by painting 2 plant pots and there saucers with an off white rustolium chalk paint. And whilst they dried I cut a piece of chicken wire from the roll roughly the circumference of my pot and roughly how high I wanted my cloche.

I wired it together along the back and pushed in the top of the structure to form a dome. I tied twine round this and bent in the top edges. I sprayed it grey then white and let it dry.
I then added my cut outs onto my pots that I printed out from the graphics fairy.
I stuck them down onto the pot with mod podge. I glued on pieces of tissue from the back of left over decoupage napkins. I glued them here and there.
I then washed browns blacks and greens onto the pots. Wiping the paint on in layers untill it looked like it had been painted many times and the paint was chipping off. I sanded some areas back and then glued tiny pieces of moss to the pots.

The photos at the end do not do these pots justice there really fab very distressed vintage.
