I Love My Baby But, We Can't Forget About Our Marriage | Whitney Port

Hi, Everyone.

Tim here. Whitney's husband. You might remember me from such kids as Sonny, and also our wedding.

Whitney asked me to write the copy for this Chapter because it is all about our marriage. First of all, it's none of your business. Just kidding, I'll tell you everything.

Whit and I have a great relationship, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't take effort and thought on both our parts just like all relationships. It's easy to get caught up in the extra work a baby brings and forget to plan dates and things like that. Filming this subject this week has definitely reminded me about being a good husband and not just a good dad.

The toughest part of this entire baby experience has been watching Whit struggle and not being able to do much about it. I know I can support her and be nice and all that, but there wasn't anything I could do to stop the nipple pain and its aftershocks. And I'm not saying this in an "it was so hard to watch her struggle" way, even though it was, more like it was tough on our relationship. When Whit is in a bad mood, like anyone else, it's not super fun to be around. She wasn't just upset when she went to breastfeed and then super happy at dinner, it was all the time and that was no fun for me.

The physical stuff seriously doesn't bother me. I knew she would put on weight and her body would change, and then it would change again. I mean, my body is changing and I have no real good excuse. Plus, I didn't marry Whitney because she is super hot, that was just a happy accident. If you really must know, I am just as physically attracted to her as I was when I invented Sonny with her at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa.

What else? I don't know and I have to get back to work. I'll you what. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments and I will reply. Oh, and while I have your attention, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the nice ones out there. When Whit is having a hard time she often reads the comments and it truly makes both of us feel better. So, thank you very much. And to the rare mean ones out there, what is the matter with you?
