Cylinder Pressure Intensification

When a cylinder isn't moving a load, the pressure on the outlet is going to be pretty low, right? Not always! As usual, things that might seem simple can quickly become more complicated when you start to consider the system as a whole. If the cylinder has a meter-out flow control, or some other flow restriction on the outlet port, the system can reach pressure values that are surprisingly high. This is called "pressure intensification".
