You will run into this problem with NSX-T and VMware Skyline!!

I ran into an issue this week where I could not add NSX-T into VMware Skyline, I kept receiving "Couldn't authenticate. Wrong credentials"

The connection account in NSX-T had the correct roles assigned as per the documentation and in addition I could successfully log into the NSX-T manager with this service account.

After some further investigation, I found the issue and this video will provide you with the fix.
