Chinese New Year 2020 - How Do Chinese People Celebrate? | 新年

Chinese New Year, Spring Festival or the Lunar Festival. They're all the same thing: The biggest celebration in China.

In preparation for the festival, I went out into the streets of Yangshuo to discover what Chinese New Year means to Chinese people.

I asked strangers and friends alike, what they do to welcome in the New Year.

New Years scrolls, red envelopes and firecrackers are what you might see on the street, but for Chinese people, there is one thing that's more important than all of those combined.
