MAKING A ROAD BY HAND for OFF GRID HOMESTEAD | When friends visit, put them to work! | V.11 (reload)

We hosted our very first visitors on the land... so of course we put them to work!

After an ease of travel restrictions, we were finally able to get back down to our Spanish off grid homestead. Hallelujah! We decided the next big project we needed to take on, was to build a road leading from the main mountain track to the site of our tiny house, to make our future barn conversion easier–by being able to get materials practically to the doorstep.

So with a few simple land and garden tools, some elbow grease and help from willing friends, we got stuck in and made a road by hand! Good mobility on a homestead will be vital to the future success of the land, and this feels like a good step in the right direction to navigating the many steep terraces of our mountain landscape. There's nothing stopping us now.
