As God commands us in Joshua 1:8 " Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."

As a Christian, it is our life to read and obey God's command. Because God also says in Matthew 7:21-"“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

So, for us to do the will of the Father, we have to know first His Words by reading it and meditating it, so that we can be able to do it or obey it.
