Man shot by Hampton officers after showing gun, police say

At 12:38 p.m., police received two calls about a man with a gun and a brandishing complaint. Once they arrived, they found a suspect, 35-year-old John Jones Jr. of Hampton, in the 4800 block of 81st Street.
