US Marines Homecoming - F-18 Hornet Squadron Returning to Miramar

US Marines of Fighter Attack Squadron 232 returning to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, after a six-month deployment, Oct. 29, 2015. Celebrating their return home with family and friends on the tarmac, while the jets still cool off from the flight.

The F-18 Hornet first flew in 1978, and can reach speeds of up to Mach 1.8. As of 2015 the USMC has 273 Hornets in operation.
