In my Channel - NirisEye, I share the videos of travel, people, view, places and things of interest.
In this video, I share the view of Temple Mount (Al-Haram Al-Sharif), Al-Aqsa Mosque & Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem via Dung Gate, wooden walkway and Bab Al-Maghariba gate.
Temple Mount (Al-Haram Al-Sharif) & Dome of the Rock:
The Temple Mount (Hebrew: הַר הַבַּיִת, Har haBayīt; "Mount of the House [of God, i.e. the Temple in Jerusalem]"), known to Muslims as the Haram esh-Sharif (Arabic: الحرم الشريف, al-Ḥaram al-Šarīf, "the Noble Sanctuary", or الحرم القدسي الشريف, al-Ḥaram al-Qudsī al-Šarīf, "the Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem") and the Al-Aqsa Compound, is a hill in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is the holiest site in the world in Judaism, the third holiest site in the world in Islam (after Mecca and Medina), and an important site for Christians.
For Jewish people, the Temple Mount is also called Mount Moriah. It is here that the first two Temples were built and this is the location of the Holy of Holies. To avoid walking on the Holy of Holies, many Jewish people do not walk on Temple Mount, since the exact location of the Holy of Holies is not known. Jewish people now pray at the Western Wall, which structurally is a retaining wall for Temple Mount. This is the place where the Prophet Abraham stood ready to sacrifice his son to prove his faith to God [Beresheet 22:2].
For Christians, the Temple Mount is the place where God told Abraham to sacrifice (Issac), his son, as burnt offering in the land of Moriah [Genesis 22]; and the place where King David bought threshing floor of (Jebusite) Ornan & built an alter unto the Lord and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings unto the LORD [2 Samuel 24:18-25]; and also the same place where King Solomon constructed house of the LORD in Mount Moriah [2 Chronicles 3:1].
Haram al-Sherif is the third holiest site in the world in Islam (after Mecca and Medina).
