In Niger, displaced students fleeing jihadists return to school | AFP

Hundreds of children with blue Unicef bags on their backs attend are back at school after fleeing violence in their hometowns. Their new school is situated in Oullam, a town in southwestern Niger that has been plagued by jihadist violence for the past five years. Coming from villages close to the Malian border, in the so-called "Three Borders" zone, these displaced young people can now go back to school thanks to a programme that groups them in large school centres.
