NEVER use Incorrect HT LEAD, or this could happen!
The high-tension (HT) lead of a small gasoline lawnmower engine is essential for transferring electrical charge from the ignition coil to the spark plug, which starts the engine's combustion. Improper installation or damage to the HT lead might interfere with the electrical current, causing irregular sparks or even total ignition failure. The ignition coil must work harder as a result of this disruption to make up for the energy lost, which causes it to operate for extended periods of time under increased stress. The ignition coil may eventually overwork itself to the point of overheating due to the excess heat it produces.
The coil's insulating materials may deteriorate when the temperature goes above its ideal range, which would eventually cause damage to the coil and a reduction in performance. The danger of mechanical failure can also be exacerbated by the increased workload, which can hasten the deterioration of other engine parts.
Furthermore, the effects of a mismatched HT lead go beyond short-term problems with engine performance and can cause long-term harm. When an incorrect current flow causes the coil to overheat, its interior components are exposed to thermal stress and eventual damage. The coil windings' surrounding insulation may start to deteriorate, which could result in electrical arcing or short circuits. Furthermore, an extended period of exposure to high temperatures may damage the coil's magnetic characteristics and reduce its capacity to provide the voltage required for spark creation.
In the end, this may lead to recurrent engine misfires, less power, and higher fuel usage. Thus, maintaining the longevity and optimum performance of a tiny petrol lawnmower engine requires careful installation and maintenance of the HT lead.
Have a great day
