In window tint installation, the term "finger" also refers to a specific issue where the film doesn’t stay flat against the glass during the installation process, resulting in areas where the tint film lifts or bubbles up. These raised areas resemble "fingers" reaching out from the main body of the film, and they can form due to air pockets, moisture, or improper application pressure.

When the film isn't properly adhered to the glass, it causes those "fingers" to form. This is a common issue during the installation process, especially if there’s not enough pressure applied to the film, or if air or moisture is trapped under the tint. To avoid this, installers need to make sure the surface is clean, free of debris, and that the film is applied smoothly with proper techniques to eliminate air bubbles and ensure a perfect fit.
