A Day with Rob! His Honda S2000 OEM HID Headache!

Rob, one of my good friend had issue with his OEM HID headlights on his 2004 Honda S2000. He came a few days ago and we tested his bulbs, wires, fuse and ballast. The result came out as the ballast to be the issue.

Now fast forward a few days later, the ballast arrived, not OEM Honda but an off-brand that seems to replicate the OEM Honda ballast. Load and behold, the ballast didn't work. So during a last ditch effort, Rob was having ideas of putting in some LED bulbs instead.

The LED bulb idea was short lived as we arrived at our favorite LED store and tested out the bulbs, the HID was much brighter. Rob didn't want to continue driving without any headlights at night so we decided to put in some aftermarket HID Kit and retro fit them in. $45 dollars later, the HID's were working just like OEM!

He saved $300 dollars for a pair of ballast from Honda and got himself a "Life-time" Warranty replacement ballast if they ever fails on him for $45 Dollars!!
