Hello everyone,
Today I would like to discuss about the different between a few and a little which you may have been confused before.

A FEW
Used to describe a small quantity of countable nouns:
Cars, houses, people, computers…..
A few + plural nouns

There are a few cars in my family.
Let’s sing a few songs.
There are a few trees that we can climb in my village.
I got a few friends at high school.
* Plural verb with a few.

A little
Used to describe a small quantity of uncountable nouns/non-countable nouns:
water, love, rain, soup,…..
A little + sigular nouns

There is a little soup left for you.
My mother put a little money in the envelop for me.
Can you add a little sugar to my coffee?
I want to try a little red wine.
* Singular verb with a few.

Exercise

There are………......students waiting in the class today.
It takes a ……..…hours to reach Kampong Thom.
There is a …..………water in the basin.
