You are cordially invited to attend “I Am Who I Am”, The Life and Legacy of Teddy Pendergrass: Entertainer and Advocate,
a traveling exhibition presented by The Teddy and Joan Pendergrass Foundation at the African American Museum, 701 Arch
Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
“I Am Who I Am” gives visitors a one-of-a-kind look at the life and career of musical giant, Teddy Pendergrass, one of the
most successful American R&B singers of all time.
The opening Reception, will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016, 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Tickets are $100 with a portion of the
funds being donated to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital.
On Saturday October 29, 2016 at 2PM we will have a special film screening, of the Teddy Pendergrass – “Close the Door”
Live Concert selected and moderated by Michael Dennis, Host/Curator ReelBlack Presents. A discussion and reflections on
the life and career of Teddy Pendergrass will follow. Admission to the screening is $10.00.
