Could watching Jaclyn Hill make YOU waste YOUR money? Everywhere I look, I see comments complaining how bigger YouTubers aren't putting out good content anymore. HOWEVER, no one is reaching to to try to tell them HOW to be better. Today we are focusing on Jaclyn Hill's most recent video. I'll point out her biggest strengths and well as her biggest mistakes that can cost YOU money!

FAQ

How dare you bash Jaclyn!
I'm not bashing her. I'm even going to break down my main points because I think people are focusing on what they WANT to focus on rather than what I actually said.

Affordable - I don't like this word because affordable is different to different people. Purpose: You may be more relatable if you use a different word.
P.S. I don't follow Jaclyn on snapchat, so I didn't know people suggested the word to her.

"I absolutely LOVE this!" when you just tried it 5 minutes ago - People are basing their purchases on what you say. Maybe toning down the language a bit until something has been fully tested. Purpose: You don't want to recommend something that you may hate later. We need to take responsibility as influencers.

"Tati is one of the real ones" - Jaclyn realizes that some reviews on YouTube aren't good. Purpose: Let's make sure that our videos ARE the good ones.

"I hate talking negatively about any products" - Talking negatively is important so that people don't waste their money. (then I give her a COMPLIMENT on her honesty)

Using products that are not drug store in a drug store video - If you are going to do this, help your subscribers by recommending a drug store product that is similar.

Lip Dupes - When telling if a lip product is dupe we shouldn't put them over top of one another, instead side by side.

I also COMPLIMENT her on her honesty about the concealer & blush, her makeup skills, her palette, and her tutorial skills.

You are a bully! You are nitpicky and rude!
Giving her advice on how to better recommend products isn't bullying. I didn't insult her. I didn't call her names. I didn't say she was horrible. We can ALL do better! Hers is NOT the worst video ever. But it could be better!

I'm sorry that you didn't like my video. If you don't want to hear the truth, this channel isn't for you.

You watch videos and DRIVE?
NO! I listen to them. Like a podcast. My phone is out of view. That's why I make a playlist, so I don't have to touch my phone while driving. :)

You are JEALOUS!
No, I'm not. Really. I have the BEST husband, kids, home, car, parents, job, life, I could ask for! I wouldn't trade my life for anyone's! Money and followers don't buy happiness!

You should contact her privately instead of publicly.
Cause, yeah. that's possible. And even if I did manage to get a message to her, she wouldn't listen to me. She'd write me off and you know it.

Are you drunk?
Haha! No. I just got done with a long drive and I was tired from the day. I'm actually not a big drinker at all. I'll have one here or there, but I'll keep the drunk days where they belong, in college.

Why did you disable comments?
I've been making YouTube videos for 8 years and this is the FIRST video I have ever disabled comments. I get that some people are mad at me for daring to suggest that Jaclyn can improve on some things. I get that some of you found my irritated tone offensive. However, it does not warrant personal attacks against me and my family. I hate taking away your voice, but some of you have taken this too far.

Thank you to the THOUSANDS of you who understand that I really did have the best intentions. I impulse uploaded and should have thought the format through. There will be no more videos in this series. HOWEVER I will continue to address topics like this in my Truth series. Same idea, more general format.
