Bing Crosby’s 50th Anniversary Live at the London Palladium - A Reproduction

In 1976, Bing Crosby stepped back onto the concert stage for touring, the first time he had done something of a similar stature was 45 years prior. These concerts featured such greats as Rosemary Clooney and Joe Bushkin, along with Bing’s family providing ample support. Sadly, Bing never had any of his full shows from that leg of the tour filmed. The closest thing was his 1977 TV special made out of a filmed concert in Pasadena, though heavily edited, and a Norway concert in which he only performed the Crosby Medley and a few other songs. This recreation heavily relies on live performances Bing did of the songs around the same time on TV. Clips of those concerts mentioned above are filmed along with a few more miscellaneous clips. For parts that had no feasible video alternative, recordings from the concert were used with photos from the live concerts filling in for visual entertainment. There are a part or two of the concert that happened, but I have no recording of, I believe a guitar solo by Harry Crosby and a dance by Mary Frances Crosby, so there’s a bit of an abrupt cut here or there.
