It all started in 2023 when I started riding unicycles with the Chicago Unicycle Club. A few of those guys came out to Grand Rapids to do a 30-mile gravel race that just added a unicycle category.

I'm not really built for anything like that but... since I've moved out here, I can't really say no. And I'm glad I didn't.

If you're looking to try and get into distance riding on a unicycle, I'd highly recommend watching videos like this that bring you through the issues and hangups of FIRST getting into distance riding. Or at least preparing for a race.

Will I do this next year?
