Watching Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber try to rekindle their romance is like watching your bestie get back with an ex that you know isn't exactly right for her. Like... you can tell that she has a lot of nostalgic feelings for the ex-bae and she never FULLY got over them. But you are also removed enough to see that the ex hasn't changed enough for a relationship to really work again (even though your BFF swears that it feels so nice to be reunited). Finally, after trying a second time, they come to the same conclusion (aka they need to go their separate ways) and you order a pizza to your bestie's house just in time for when you arrive so you can chat and eat and tell them that they'll def do better.

Well, get ready to order that pizza because ya girl Selena and Justin seem to finally be calling it quits after a long-winded attempt to make things work. "Selena started seeing the bigger picture when it came to their relationship," a source tells Us Weekly. "Like what was more important: her general happiness and her family and friends approval, or her being together with Justin, where no one really supported their relationship." "She obviously chose happiness and her friends and family and is so thrilled about her decision-making process," the source continues. "She feels more empowered than ever and is looking forward to this next chapter."

Selena and Justin started dating in 2009. Then, they broke up only to reunite in October 2017. After what seemed like a nice reunion of long romantic walks and going to hockey games, the two went on a "break" earlier this year (with fans wondering if the reported break was actually a legit break-up). During the break, Justin was seen attending concerts and hanging out with model Baskin Champion, which sparked rumors that maybe the two were hooking up while Selena was slightly out of the picture.

Prior to starting up his relatively new relationship with Baldwin, reports claimed that Bieber was keen to win Gomez back. The on-again-off-again couple, who have gotten back together several times over, were rumored to have ended their romance for good earlier this year, with Bieber hanging out with Baskin Champion to allegedly try to make Gomez jealous. His ploy seemingly didn't work, and it wasn't long before a single Bieber started spending time with his other ex, Baldwin.

When Bieber and Gomez parted ways in March 2018, a source told E! News that Gomez was ready to move on, saying, "Selena realized even though he's made some positive improvements, they just aren't a perfect match right now." However, this reportedly wasn't the case for Bieber, with a source claiming to People, "He thinks and talks about Selena all the time—the chapter with her is definitely not finished... They weren’t getting along and decided to take a break."

However, it seems as though Bieber is finally moving on from Gomez.
