German Invasion of Poland Part Two: The Battlefield, War Plans, Dispositions of Forces
As the German and Poles edged closer to war each side made detailed plans to fight the battle to come. This episode surveys the dispositions of forces by which the German Wehrmacht and the Polish military sought to overcome one another in mid 1939. The Polish countryside as an operational theater is also discussed, as the terrain over which the coming battle would be fought, as always, shaped the strategic possibilities open to each side.
