Korea Apartment Tour $600
Hi, welcome to my Korea apartment tour. I filmed this video like 4 months ago and only got around to editing it recently. I haven’t been living in this apartment for the past 2 months now lol. Maybe there will be an updated Seoul apartment tour soon (probably another 4 months later).
Anyways, this apartment is located in Anyang, Gyeonggi-do province. As I mentioned in the video I thought rent was really expensive here, but many people also told me that this area just has expensive rent. I paid ₩600,000/month for rent with the utilities averaging about ₩190,000/month and the key money deposit being ₩5,000,000. The cheapest places the real estate agent showed me were ₩600,000 and the most expensive were ₩700,000. I paid rent and utilities every month myself, but my school gave me rent money. I still think this place is really expensive for what it is and definitely pricey in comparison to others.
I also mentioned that this apartment was literally empty when I got it. It only came with the stove, AC, and washer. Everything else in this apartment I had to get myself. So if you’re looking to save some money on these things, I would recommend school housing because the majority of the time you’d be getting stuff from the school/previous teachers. Most school housing provides microwaves, drying racks, beds, etc. It’s all a case by case basis, sometimes you might not even want this stuff because its gross or sometimes you might luck out and get all new appliances (rare, but I’ve seen it happen).
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading:) Feel free to leave any comments below and I’m happy to answer them for you!
